Evaluation of emergency management and basic first aid knowledge levels of dental students
Aims: The aim of this study was to investigate the level of knowledge, perceived self-confidence, and clinical exposure of dental students to emergency situations. Methods: The study population consisted of 156 fourth- and fifth-year dental students enrolled at Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University. Data were obtained through a structured online questionnaire comprising 28 items. The survey addressed demographic characteristics, previous emergency training, clinical encounters with emergencies, and preparedness attitudes. Knowledge levels were assessed for commonly encountered emergencies in dental practice.
